So far ...so good

Hey all,

Well for now the Dr has got me on a good combo of meds for fibro. I tale 60mg of Cymbalta and 100 mg of Tramadol every 4 hours. SO far, so good! I hope this will last me a while because I hate feeling bad.

My Dr tried to put me on Gabapentin but holy crap...I felt out of it and so sick. I havee never had any medication make me that sick so I stopped talking it. I am off the Vicodin and Darvcet for now and feel less out of it. I just wish people understood Fibro a little bit more so when I say I hurt, I really mean it.

Hope everyone is doing well and feeling a bit better.

Gentle Hugs

Congrats on getting on a good med mix! Different meds work differently for different people. I have been helped a lot by lyrica (close to Gabapenti) but not cymbalta- it makes me nauseas and dizzy.

PLEASE be careful- Cymbalta and Tramadol can have serious interactions which many folks ignore.

I'm glad yours is working too...they did take me down to 60 mg of Cymbalta and kept the Tramadol the same. I tried so hard to stay on the Gabapentin but it made me sooooo sick and I felt so out of it the whole time ans I swear it took me a week to stop feeling like that. Everyone on this board is so helpful and caring and I thank you for your concern.

So glad your meds are doing the job for you! I get tired of hurting sometimes and just sit an cry. But, that doesn't happen very often. Maybe I need to talk to my PCP a little bit more about the pain. Take care!
