Hello all, I'm not new to OH but I am new to this forum.  Unfortanetly, like all of you I suffer from fibromyalgia.  I was dx a about 3 years agos and it just keeps getting worse.  I am almost 40 single mother of 3 kids.  Most days are hard for me to function.  I'm so fatigued and in pain most of the time.  I take alot of medications, doctor just put me on oxycontin but it is making me to spacey and hardly unable to function.  I have not worked for 4 years now and trying to get ssdi, I do get disability from my old employer so I can support myself and my children.  The other thing about me is that I'm a nurse have been for 14 years now.  I am also currently in graduate school hoping to graduate with a NP degree the problem is the pain medicine I can't take and go to schoo at the same time.  I took a leave and am to start back in January hoping by then can feel like semi functionable.  You know the funny thing is is that I used to work in the Er and see fibro patients come in all the time for pain meds of course we all thought they were "drug seekers".  Well now that I have been dx with it I feel for everyone on here.  The aches, pains, fatigue, are horrible so I always tell my fellow nurses don't ever judge anyone they never know what they may be dealt.  And to top it all of I'm also bipolar (hypomania)not the full blow mania so there are some meds that I can't take because it makes me too manicy..  I just wanted to tell you all that you inspire me and give me ideas when I go to the doctor what to ask him for (I have a great doc who will do anything for me) I'm thinking the patch then something for breakthrough because I had the sleeve done almost 2 years ago and with my small stomach the oxycontin is too much for me.  I look foward to hearing from everyone, if you ever have any questions about anything please contact, have a great night,
Mary JO
