Is it worse at night than during the day for you?

Do you have bone pain?

Just wondering..

I have an appointment in July for a Neurologist.   PCP seems to think I have Fibromyalgia.  Not sure if a Neurologist is the right person to be seeing or not. I guess I have to start somewhere.

Yes my pain is worse at night and I see a Rheumatologist for Fibro amd Arthritus. Rheumy docs. diagnose Fibro..My pain seems to be more joint, muscle and nerve.rather than bone..Good Luck.

I agree with Sandytoes that usually a rheumy is who you want to see or a pain specialist, but the neuro may be able to diagnose too. Fibro pain is mostly a muscle pain thru out the whole body, like the worst flu ever but never goes away. It usually is worse at night because we aren't moving and the muscles get all stiff. I find some good ol' stretching helps get things loosened up so I can crawl out of bed in the AM. Hope you get a diagnosis quickly so you can get treatment started!

I see both a rheumy and neurologist for pain. I have joint, muscle, and what feels like bone pain. Rheumy said bone pain is pain that felt really "deeply" A pain specialist is also a good resource to have on your health care team.

Pain is bad at night when I'm trying to sleep, but I can have high pain levels at any time. I have fibro and lupus.
