I used to work in a pain clinic. The medical world has found that Methadone works very well for pain. So, as it may be a lot of our patients used Methadone. I thought the same thing......heroin addict. But I then learned that it is used for pain. As the world becomes more familiar with chronic pain patients using methadone to control the pain, it won't be looked down on. Try it and see if it works for you. Don't listen to "the little voice" telling you that methadone is for users. You can always stop using it, and go to something else. Best wishes and I hope you do decide to try it. What have you got to lose, but pain.

Hi,
I replied earlier regarding the methadone. But I have a comment about your best friend. Maybe she is too close. It is usually good when you talk to someone that isn't on the inside looking out, if you know what I mean. My sister and I are close enough to where she understands what I am going through, but not all up in my business. So posting on this website is a good thing. It is hard for people that are close to you to be non judgemental. Take Care
