Danielle,
Good news first!! It does not sound like you have fibromyalgia at all....Also with the MS if you did have that then they would have more then likely showed up on your MRI because most times MS causes brain lesions.....so that is the good news
BAD news it really truly sounds like you have some post partum depression going on there and you really need to get some help for it. It also sounds like you might have some low vitamens happening. Both of them can be corrected so that is really good news right...Be brave and try and find you some docs that will help you. Even go to the ER if you have to ok but do try and get you some help...we are all here if you want to talk ok
Take care

Did you have a spinal block when you gave birth?

I would be calling PCP! or go to the ER.

Hi when i read your story i thought u were writing about me i have the same issues except for me i loss the abiliry to walk, cook, think, hold my son ,and eat i have had many MRIs, spinal taps, phys evals..i came to Iowa started phy theraphy and now i can walk and cook ..i went to the doctors and he confirmed i have a vit b def..so i've started on that will let you no if that helps...lyrica or gabapentin helps with the pain in my legs, feet ,arms;and hands..the numbness is still there hopefully the b1 vit will assist with that ...still u should get the MRIS and a spinal tap to rule MS out.....the doc tells me that with this surgery things can get triggered to happen in your body...our bodys do not absorb or vit..well...if you would like to talk futher let me know...i know what you are going thru..

Hi Danielle,

B12 deficiency can mimic neurological disorders because it is essential for the central nervous system to function properly.  I do not know how off you have to be for things to get serious but it is serious for you.

I have MS and you are exhibiting many of the symptoms I have including cognitive dysfunction.  My neurologist still checks my B12 levels to be sure that MS is really the culprit when problems arise.

Ask the dr how best to address the B12 deficiency.  Perhaps you should be getting shots.  If they make you better, great.  If not, you'll have to start ruling out autoimmune disorders, lupus, etc.  Unfortunately many illnesses have symptoms that are all over the place and seem unrelated.

Good luck to you.

There is alot of good suggestions and thoughts for you it looks like. I will add my 2 cents worth. Find a DR Endocronligest (NOT sure of spelling). They deal DIRECTLEY with the defficets in the blood and do very unique tests on it that no other Dr that I have seen does much less understands. I love my ENDO Dr as well as Rumotoligest. I have a very complicated body as well and been on a search for help for a very long time. I have all my story posted in my profile but my biggest suggestion would be the ENDO DR. they specialise in the minerals in your body among other things. Just make sure yo find one that understands the contrast of a gastric bypass and their profession. Not all are experienced with bypass patents.

My 2 cents worth, good luck hunn keep us posted,

Kathleen
