Hi everyone-

I've had this article for a long time.  It has a protocol for fibros who have any tupe of surgery involving genreal anethesia.

I'm taking this to my surgeon and anesthesiologist!

Here's the link:

While interesting I've never had any problems with surgery and I've had somewhere between 6-10 surgeries in the last 4 years. I've never had any extra fibro pain with any of them in fact the docs are always surprised how fast I heal and how quickly I get off of pain meds. So hopefully you will be the same.

Hislady-

Unfortunately, that's not true for me.  I had an arthroscopic rotator cuff repair, the doctor shrugged off the protocol, and I was a ball of pain afterwards for about three days.

That's why I'm going to make sure my surgeon knows how important this is for me.

Owwie! In your case that sounds like a very good idea! Best of luck.

Thanks for the info. that is interesting before my WLS and an arm surgery a couple months ago they had given me pain meds BEFORE surgery and I wondered why. Gee the doc's were up on things for me....

MainePam-

That's great.  Many doctors do keep up with thinks.  Everyone says my surgeon is that way.

Even so, I'm going to hand her the article!

Thanks Jazz, I'm awaiting Insurance approval. So I will definately make sure Dr. Byrne will see this before my surgery. I appreciate your thoughtfulness to share this here.

God bless,
