Boy do I hurt

I think that stress really does a number on us that have fibro. I have been under a lot of stress that I cannot escape and I HURT so bad worse than I have for years!!!!
I go to my new doc tomorrow I HOPE she will try something new for me...

Absolutely stress is a killer for those of us with fibro, thankfully there are several new drugs to help us. I've been trying neurontin for a few weeks and it's really been helpful, seems to target the muscles in particular and it's a pretty safe drug (been around for years) and has a wide range for dosages. I take oxycodone for arthritis pain and it was taking care of the fibro pain until recently but lately it just hasn't been helping the fibro. If your doc doesn't give you something be sure to push some or ask for a referal to a rheumatologist they usually treat fibro and have all the newest info. Good luck, no one should have to hurt like we sometimes do!

You are so right on w/ the stress affecting us. I think I have been under too much stress for a long time, couple years. I get a few or just one good day and seem to overdo and mess it up. I pray the drs help you today! Let us know how you get along! Best wishes and prayers during this stressful time.

Thanks I KNOW you guys understand.
Well the doctor put me on Trazadone to try at night see if I can sleep better.Last night it worked. I hope it is Ok for me to take she knew I had WLS. I am having a loud noise from like my ears. It sounds like you put a glass to your ear. Every thing sounds echoy and loud. i forgot to talk to her about that cause we talked so much about the pain and fibro. I have an inner ear that does not work right so I hope it is not that.
I feel better knowing this new doctor understand my pain...

I am in a bad flare due to stress recently. The weather is taking a toll on me too. Yes we need to avoid stress as much as we possibly can but no matter how hard I try to "hide" stress finds me!!!
