Honey that's what mine has felt like for 25-30 years! Until recently I just had to live with it since so many docs just blow us off. My current one however(God bless him) is working with me all the time to try to make life bearable with this horrid disease. You really have to find a doc who will "team up" with you for treatment. Rheumatologists are usually the best to see. I feel your pain!
How long have you had fibro? If not long, I'm sorry! You will get use to the flare ups though. They become a part of your life. You will find yourself avoiding certain things just to avoid a possiable flare up. Try stretching twice a day, it does help a little. Yoga helps me ALOT! My TENS unit also helps a little when I am flared up. I have not tried the pressure point injections yet, I am terrified of needles so I am avoiding it at all costs...LOL...But between my meds, yoga, TENS and LOTS of pain meds and therapy I seem to be doing a little better. I see the doc once a week, thank God for good insurance! When you have a flare up try HOT baths, heating pads and them sticky heat patches they sell for arthritis and take some motrin or whatever they give you and relax it will pass......I know that is no help but sometimes just knowing your not alone in this eases the pain........
