I just had RYN in August.  I take Cymbalta for my fibro pain.  It makes a HUGE difference in my quality of life.  I NEED it.  Since my surgery the Cymbalta feels like ACID in my pouch.  I have tried taking it with food.  I have opened it and just taken the inside with food.  I am now on Carafate (sp?) and it helps a bit but not much.  Today I took it at 10am and it hurt so bad I thought about going to the ER.  I just had to lay there and wait.  It is still sore.  I finally ate some cheese at about 4pm.  I talked to my Surgeon but her answer was the Carafate.  Which is not doing the job.  I skip days of the Cymbalta trying to avoid the pain.  Not to mention I am afraid that it is causing trouble in my pouch.  Anyone have any GREAT suggestions!  I need the Cymbalta.

I hear you, it kills my stomach too.
I'm on Lyrica 150mgs x2 a day, and cymbalta
It has made a HUGE difference in my fibro pain.
The bizzare thing is I've tried it with food and without..no differnce.  It still kills my stomach.
I often have the runs shortly after so I am not even sure I'm absorbing it.
I have to take it after my shift (I'm a medic) because if not I'm doubled over in pain.
But...here is what I've found.  If I take it with my wellbutrin at the same time no pain.
I don't get it??
I read and re-read the pharmacy invert a dozen times, even asking our ED physicians that I transport too, all said yep this is a symptom, for some it happends, for others it doesn't.
Lucky us eh?
No suggestions here hun, Im in the same boat.
