I was watching tv this morning while trying to uncrack my body and muscles to get out of bed and saw a comercial looking for Fibromyalgia suffers.  There is a clinical study begining and they are searching for Fibro patients to test the new drug for pain relief.

the website is www.ifeelpain.com - I am in atlanta and there is a study here (many other states as well), so I thought I would pass it on.

I have signed up - I pray that this new drug really kicks this pain - I am currently taking Fentanyl patch 50 and taking Zanaflex (muscle relaxer) as needed.

Pain is horrible so I thought I would share..

I tried to sign up too but was dismissed I guess because of my breast cancer, that's the only thing I can see that would disqualify me. My oxycodone takes care of my pain but it'd be nice to have something that's not narcotic. Hope you get into the study!

I also tried to sign up for the fibro study. I took the question test and I was denied for the study. I am in good health and I take fentanyl patch at 50 mcg per 72 hour. I don;t know why these companies want to do drug studies but keep denying. I tried.....

Well they called me yesterday... and it is only a medication (anti-depressant) that starts with an "E" can't recall the name... but I declined because they'd make me stop taking my pain meds - NO WAY NO HOW!

I don't know how they think we can cope with no pain meds.. crazy!
Maybe some have Fibro with less pain than I who could test it out for them.  My pain level daily is a 6 and a 9 during flare ups.  I guess some ppl only have 'nagging pain.'
