Well I used the guaifenesin for 3 weeks and can report that it made no differance at all. Christine

Thanks for the report even things that don't work are helpful to know so we don't waste time and or money on them. Heaven knows there are enough scams out there that prey on anyone who is in pain. Maybe someday they will actually come up with a cure, wouldn't that be awesome?!

Did you follow the special diet, cleaning product guidelines and all that? I had looked into and there is no way I could have afforded in now or who knows when. Just wondered. I see all these miracle reports but its good to know other's experience from real people, not testamonials that anyone could write. Thanks

I firmly believe that old saying "If it sounds too good to be true, it probably is!" There is a world full of vultures waiting to bilk us out of every last penny.

A cure--oh for a cure. Or just some help with the fatigue.. Or just some answers about the cause. I did try to follow all the restrictions of the guaf diet but I there was absolutely no improvement. If there had been I would have tried the whole 9 yards. I knew from the internet that it was proboably just another 'cure of the moment' but I thought I would give it a go (especially since the pills cost 15$). My 21 year old daughter is also quite sick with this--so I will try just about anything that is not poison. She got mono in the 6th grade and just sort of never got better (I got it in the 8th grade and just sort of never got better). So I belive it is virally related disease. Well onto finding next weeks 'discovery' . Christine

I started taking 2400mg of guafenisin about 7 years ago Dr. ordered for my sinus. I noticed my fibro was better. I stayed on it. Right after WLS I went off of it and was in worse pain so started it again 1 1/2 years ago.
How much did you take??I do not follow the diet at all. I think for those it does help it helps a lot like me.Since guafenisin is so cheap and has no side affects its worth a try you might be one of the ones that it helps like me.
I get mine at Walmart $11.00 for 60 pills.

I was only taking 1200 mg. a day. HMMMM... I might have to try that again. Did you start right in on 2400 mg.s a day? My instructions were to take 300 mg. twice a day --after a week up it to 600 mg. twice a day. Christine

It's been so many years since I started. I think that I started out like  on 600mg 3 x day now it is good they have the 1200mg tablet I take one in the morning and one at night.

Good Luck it has sure helped me. Yes i still hurt but i HAVE MAJOR ARTHRITIS too. I have had 2 total knee replacements, I have it bad in my neck and spine and just had arm surgery Sept 17th to get bone spurs and "debris" out of my elbow joint. i could not straighten my arm it stayed bent at all times. Now i can straighten it.
