scared and alone
just how do you know if you have it, three of my sibblings have it and i dont want it, i have noticed that both arms feel like they are brused and a spot that has been in the middle of my lower back hurts the same way , been some time since its been there , i try to ignore it but times like last night no way could i it felts like the spot got bigger and was traveling up my back , this morning it hurts under sholder blade, Im not a hypercondreite or how ever you spell it but im worried two of my sissie said it probley is it , could they be right?
Actually your travelling back pain sounds like gallbladder problems. To be diagnosed with fibro you really need to go to a doc. If it is nothing else then it is fibromyalgia. There are lots of meds that can ease your symptoms but you still need to learn to live with it. Sometimes it is just 'the boss' for the day. Go for an easy walk--that seems to relieve the symptoms more than any thing. You also sound a tad depressed which is a fibro symptom. Find a doctor you trust--women are better for this sort of thing. thats just it i dont have a gallbladder was removed when i was 24 i stay depressed back is sore today and feels brused as well as arms but they are not , im going to doc next week will consult with him i was just wondering if it was possible and as far as walking forget it my knees and legs hurt to bad if i walk to much thank you
My chiropractor diagnosed mine and then my PCP sent me to a rheumatologist to have it confirmed. There are what they call trigger points on certain parts of the body and depending on whether they hurt or not they can tell if it is fibro or something else. I would suggest going to fmaware.org or some of the other fibro websites and see if there are any docs in your area that specialize in treating it. There are still alot of MDs that don't believe in it but more are coming around all the time. There are treatments for it and things that will help and also they are coming out with more and better pain meds for it so get on line and do some investigation. And come back here and chat with us, everyone is very helful.
THanks , today is not a good day after going to jersey for the weekend with grandson im so sore to the points of tears , but i made it to work anyhow going to doc on wednesday to talk to him about it , i think he thinks i just want drugs lol percs i only asked for 5 mgs because it does help me to manuver a little better and dont cause me to fall a sleep lol i will see if needed i will go to another specialist
I know, docs are so paranoid about giving pain relief meds! It's stupid. My doc gives me the 5 mg percocet (take it 4 x a day) because I have arthritis in my lower back so bad I can't hardly move without them. With them I can actually have a life and get around and I've taken them for over a year now, same dose. They are so concerned about addiction but I'd rather be an "addict" and have a normal life than be crippled with pain. So of course that helps my fibro too. I see no reason for us to suffer when there are perfectly good meds available. I haven't built up a tolerance to them, like so many docs say, they still work just fine at the low dose. So I wish you good luck and if your doc won't help try finding someone who specializes in fibro. We deserve a relatively pain free life.
