Lyrica, anyone taking it?
Have you tried Neurotonin (sp?) . Its in the same class as Lyrica but doesn't seem to have the nasty side effects that plague some people.
I'm on Lyrica myself 450mg a day taken at bedtime and my pain has improved dramatically over a year and I've actually lost weight, but that might be due to the topomax I'm on for migraines since it is an appetite suppressant.
Anyway, best of luck to you in finding th right meds combo and losing that weight regain, I know it can be d*** hard.

I went from the neurontin to the Lyrica, but, I think I'm going back to the Neurontin. I took Topomax for a year, then all of a sudden it threw me for a loop, I was so dopey I would go off to lala land, my husband finally said for me to stop taking it for a week and see if I got better and I did. I'm just a weird old lady. Say a prayer or a thought for us, please, we have Gustav heading for us and we will probably evacuate tomorrow.
I have been taking Lyrica for about 4months now and have good results with no bad side effects. I have not had wls yet though. Lyrica has made feel almost normal again. It has allowed me to do more things-simple things like fold laundry or at least more than one load a day! It has not taken all of the pain away but it has made my fibr much more manageable. I take 150mg twice a day. I started with 75mg twice a day and had to up it once. My dr said after more time I may need to up my dose again but it is best to start out low and work your way up because of how severe some of the side effects can be for some people. It hasn't made me gain wieght either. I have been on a supervised diet while taking Lyrica and have still managed to lose weight anyway. Good luck in your search for pain relief--different things work on different people maybe Lyrica will work for you.
If I remember correctly I was able to open the capsule and mix it with some yogurt. The Cymbalta I don't know about. The best thing to do is ask either your doc or your pharmacist if there is a way to take both meds that you'll be able to do after the band. Actually I spoke with my pharmacist before I had the band to see if all my meds would be compatible. They sometimes know more than the docs especially about the sizes of pills and what else might work if it's gonna be too big.
