I have been taking methadone for quite awhile now and my surgery has helped my fibro.  I went to a pain clinic and they gave me this.  I was just wondering if anyone was taking the same thing.  thanks

I've not heard of it for fibro myself, but take oxycodone for a degenerative spine and that really helps my fibro. I guess whatever works!

i went to a pain clinic about 4 years ago and the dr there gave me the methadone and it really helped me live with the Fibro and now since I had surgery I only have to take 2 a day instead of 8.  4 years ago they really ever diagnosed Fibro and it was really hard to get anything to help but now they really recognize it which is so good.  If a person doesn't have it they realize what we go through.  take care

I've been taking Methadone for over 18 months now. I started at 5m 3x a day then after 6 months the pain was still real bad so upped to 10mg 3x a day. At the time I started taking it I was on Ultracet 3x a day for pain, Lyrica 450 milligrams at night, Lidocaine patches and the Methodone 3 x a day.

Nowdays I am down to just the Lyrica and an occasional Ultracet for moderate pain or occasional Methadone for severe pain 2-3 x a week.  My FMS pain is practically gone, instead my CFIDS/ME fatigue has moved in.

I use to take methadone. I was on it for 2 years. It never worked for me and my pain specialist switched me to the Fentyal patch.
