Hi there,

I was down 28 lbs at 10 weeks. I am a slow loser, and also a slow learner : )

I didn't drink nearly the right amount of water and snacked more than I should have. And I've only exercised 8 times since surgery 9 months ago.

Even so, I am down 83 lbs.

So, check your water intake, as well as your food intake. Even without the exercise, you will continue to lose.

Hi: thank you very much for to take time to whrite, maybe is not correct to ask you, but I saw your profile but you don't talk about fibromyalgia, So you have it?  I had been doing something so wrong, and is that I thought I was taking 56 gm of protein with the bodyfortress, with one scoop and this weekend I find out I had to have to shakes a day to have all that much. I'm going to start very serious about eating meats more often to get my protein.  Something else, before the surgery I drink 6 to 8 glasses of water when I really try, now even if I know I need it, I can have just 2 to 3 a day, well 3 is to much, 2 1/2.  the pain it had been so strong this days that I don't do any execises, but I hope today I will star again.  Thank u

What type meds do they have you on for Fibro? Wonder if that may be making the weight loss slow? Not sure how everything works with that surgery but the board for it may show the normal weight loss rate for it. The weather messes up my fibro too. I am on pain meds that I think are the cause of me losing so far out. My profile isnt updated alot, i need to do it. Hope they will have some help for you. Can you do any minor exercise? Like lifting cans or stretch bands. I stick to minor stuff due to fibro and recent back surgery. I want to do more but suffer pain if I do. Usually feel better in a couple days though. Keep in touch! I think I am in your shoes too.   I had surgery Nov 2005 and had some health issues in Jan 2006 and never never lost any more weight.  I went from 277 to 225 and froze till Dec 2007 when I noticed thanks to my new meds (cymbalta) I gained 25 pounds!  So I am so upset I am still obese and look awful again.  All my new clothes dont fit.... sorry off the track.  I am going the 10th to talk to a differant surgeon (we are military and have had to move surgeons twice.  I wonder if I would have done better if I got to stay with my original surgeon) I just pray he has some answers!

The best thing for me is water areboics. I have fibromyalgia myself. If it is to cold in the winter time,I would try to join a YMCA. I live in Az so the option of being in the pool year round. I very good friend of mine lives in Wisconsin and has really had a rough time with his RA. He and his wife can't wait to get back to Az where he feels better.I have severve OA of both knee's and nothing works to control pain. I am going to get my knee replaced this winter. I take a duragesic drug patch that I apply every 72 hours for the fibro and it works pretty good.

Good Luck to you....
