First of all I cannot beleive that there are still Drs out there who have no bedside manner at all.  It should be a madatory part of medschool!  I would reprort this practitioner.  Fact of the matter is that even though there is tons of research to prove that Fibromyalgia is REAL, some doctors still don't believe that it exsists.  Those doctors will blame our suffering on anything and everything else out there.  There are also tons of Doctors out there who are just prejudiced against obese people.  It is sad, but it exsists.  I work in the medical field and I see it every day.   Anyway..... I know exactly how you feel.  I was told the same things for years.  I even made a post about it last week. I was told over and over, "loose weight, you'll feel better".  Well now I have lost 70 pounds and I feel worse.  So I guess they didn't know what they were talking about after all.  I am not at goal yet, but I am no longer morbidly obese.  I have about 40 more pounds to loose.  I hurt more now than I ever have before.  With every pound I loose the pain increases.   Good luck to you.  I hope you can find a conpassionate doctor who will listen to you and help you. And I would seriously report the Doctor you saw at the pain clinic.  Call your insurance company.  They should have a patient advocate who will help you out.

Same story with so many drs for me. Was told lose weight and when i did they said pain was from no cushion. I finally found drs to help me and I am so grateful. Not really happy with being on such strong narcotics everyday but I do what I have to. Mentally I need to make myself do more positive things that I can other than medicate but I hope to get there soon. Shannon
