I can't take this anymore
I have cut down on Lyrica because of weight gain and swelling in my hands and feet. I am down to 75mg 2x a day now. It really isn't helping anyway at this dose.
My PCP had a complete workup done on me and everything came back normal except I was somewhat anemic.
I had alot of pain preop as well...weight loss has not in the least helped the pain.
This pain is causing me major depression (yes I am on two anti depressants) I go through tylenol like M &M 's.
My PCP won't give me narcotic pain meds..he is a idiot.
He said go to a pain clinic but then he said he doesn't know where any pain clinics are and so basically in a nut shell your **** outta luck see ya next time you wanna give me money.
I am sick and tired of being in pain all the F'ing time.
I am angry that I hurt ALL the time. I don't have much time where I am not hurting.
Everythhing hurts..not just one place. My shoulders, head, neck upper back, knees and generally all over, a constant achey feeling..flu like feeling that never goes away.
The pain ranges from a 4-8 ALL the time and I am ready to just climb the walls.
No I don't want narcotics...I don't want weight gain. I have worked to damn hard to gain weight again.
I am back up to 160 from 145 because of the Lyrica I have been eating carbs like no tomarrow.
My PCP says there is no other meds for pain like lyrica.
What do you do?
Please tell me there is a wonder drug out there that doesn't cause weight gain, swelling, and completely takes away all pain.
I am at my witts end and needing relief bad.

Hi,
I know what you're going through. I too have FMS. When were you disanosed??
I got better treatment when I changed DR and found a specialist.
Although I still experience pain, about 5 each day. I have learned to deal with it by limiting my activity, resting and water aerobics have helped.

Hi monax I was dx'd with FMS about 12 years ago. I will probably just have to also learn to live with it as well unless I find a pain clinic here.
