Lyrica??????

Hi, I have been diagnosed with fibro, but three doctors here in Rhode Island have told me that Lyrica is not the drug of choice after all.  They are telling me it is not worth getting into, same with Cymbalta, that the dosages keep getting higher and higher to keep the relief going.  All I can say is, maybe they should let me be the judge of that. Chronic pain is awful and it really affects my whole family.  Can any of you tell me how you are faring with Lyrica and if I should march myself into the doctor and demand a script?  Let me know Leslie

I have been on Lyrica for afew months now, & it has really, well, slowly but surely, helped me alot. The doses have to start out low ofcoursee because of our new smaller tummies, but I am now up to 500mg twice a day, plus Vicodin for the chronic pain. i have noticed a difference since  have started it, I really have. i think you should disregard what they are tellng you & let yourself be the guide!
