have any of you had a slow process in weight loss?
Hi Annrenee
It is hard to say with the little info you gave. I am 1 year out, I am 5'2 and started at 276. I was 246 the day of my RNY and I am 154 today! I am down 120 pounds all together. I would like to lose 10-20 pounds more. 10 pounds a month sounds about right to me. We all have our slow times that can throw off your average at a given moment. Hang in there it will come off! I hope this will help you.

Namcy,
Thank you I had rny april 24th 07 about 6m ago and I have lost 54 pds. I would think I would have lost more but I havent but I am still working toward it, I started at 233 and now at 179 and want to lose another 40 lbs. Having fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue is a problem with exercise but I do my best. Thanks for your encouragement it does help.

I am/was a slow loser also. Lap Band 06/06/06: 225/145/140.
My average per month is really low and I would often wonder why my loss was so slow but I do know that I don't exercise as hard as I did when fibro was not so bad.
A lot of edema/swelling issues as well. Taking Lyrica and worried about the weight gain but still trying to maintain.
Kootenay
kootenay,
I was on lyrica, but the cost was just to much, here since surgery i was able to get off and lower doeses of meds and bam first it was 2 hormone replacement meds off those now because of side effects and now 2 more for IC of the bladder, I do feel taking meds slow our weight loss even though you had lapband and I had RNY we both have our tools to help us. 4/24/07 RNY 233/179/140.
Thank you for your response
