Major flare up

I have been in misery since Tuesday.  All I'm taking is percocet as needed, cymbalta and my sleep meds.  Was wondering if Lyrica is worth trying?  My sister tried it and had some type of reaction.  Saw her doctor yesterday and he put her on a lower dose.  Don't know how much longer I can take this pain.  Any advise will be appreciated. Hi, I'm sorry you are in such pain. The only advise I can give you is if you're still in pain go to the emergancy room and see if they can give you some kind of relief.
I know that my er isn't very educated on fibro. They do good to apply band-aids. LOL. I'm going to see if either my PCP or my pain dr will put me on Lycria since my meds haven't been working well for me lately. Praying you get relief soon. Love & Hugs.

Thanks Lorri.  I think I could probably get and appt with my RA before I could be seen in the ER.   Am going to get an appt and talk to her about trying me on Lyrica.  Couldn't be any worse than it is now.  It's just so depressing not being able to do things that I've always done without paying the price for days on end.  Good luck to you too. I was on Lyrcia and went off due to the expense of it,  I am not sure If I can tell a difference or not,  But I was wondering what if anything can it harm our little pouches?  Since surgery I have been able to go off some meds and now very disapointed that I am having to go on other meds.  I have IC of the bladder and because of how we eat its in a flare and I am on 2 meds now for it plus once a week of a bladder coctail for relief plus all the vitamines seems like I am always taking pills again :( I dont go to ERs any more its like we are put it the dope addicts catigory when they find out we have fibro and on pain meds. Ive been on Lyrica for several months and it absolutely has helped me personally, I take 2 at night and 1 in the morning, They have to gradually increase the dosage but it does help with the pain. I take 150mg and am seeing my pain Dr tomorrow. Will ask to be increased some more to see if it can reduce the pain even more. Give it a try.   Take care, sherri

Thanks Sherri.  Will see if I can get in to my Rheumatologist to see if she will let me give it a try.  I'm so afraid I'm going to get fired if I have to be out of work much more.  Hope you get increased.  Maybe one day we can all be somewhat pain free.  The bad thing is, folks look at us and don't see anything wrong, so immediately think we are hypo or just plain faking it. So sorry you are in pain. Im going thru it now but hope it will let up soon. Alot of my pain from a discogram has left. Still stiff and sometimes move the wrong way. The fibro knots are worse today. I usually do stretches and it helps some but w/ my back still sore from the other day i am scared too. Hope we feel better soon. I normally try not to take all the lortab 10's drs give me every day as well as a fentanyl  patch. I am having to now and itching to death. Hopefully I can cut back down soon. I am sorry tired of taking so many meds. I thought of asking about this med. But I take 19 right now that is so many. and plus 2 cremes. That is why I need the surgery, I have to get off of the meds.  I think a person can take to many.  The foot doc, has me on 2 and my pcp has me on 17 you tell me.  I take 3 types of insulin. good grief ya'll. Sometimes I just need a hug. Barb
