Spleen pain after RNY surgery

My daughter had RNY surgery about 5 weeks ago and they nicked her spleen and she has had spleen pain since, needing to take meds to control the pain. Did anyone else ever have that problem?  If so, how long did it last?  Thx in advance for the help!
