6 Weeks Out
Sorry my friends. I have been really bad about staying in touch on here and I don't have any idea where the last six weeks have gone.
So here I am. I started this journey over a year ago at around 370 lbs. Through the weight control / life modification program at OSU called "living well" and nutrician classes I lost almost 40 lbs and the morning of the surgery, I weighed in at 333 lbs. I have to say that it has been a little more than I bargained for with some of the things I went through, but I absolutely don't regret it. I have only gotten sick, dumped, twice so I have been very lucky in that respect, but what amazes me are the little things. I can bend down and tie my shoes instead of propping my foot up on a chair or coffee table. I can get in my car and there is actually space between the steering wheel and my belly. I can neal down and pick something up off the floor without having to have something to grab onto to help me pull myself back up. Cloths that were tight a month and a half ago now hang on me or just fall off. Even grooming has become much easier (and that's as far as I need to go on that). We went out shopping Saturday and I am getting closer to being able to fit into cloths that are not in the Big & Tall sections of the stores. That really feels good.
I tried to put then and now pictures here, but Vista is being a pain in the butt and won't let me. Someone will have to share that secret with me sometime. However, there are some pics under my profile now if anyone wants to take a look.
Well everyone take care be healthy.
Greg.
