It's National Nut Day
I'm not fond of nuts, never have been. Seems like a great protein loaded snack for us surgery peeps.
It's also National Knee Day...I guess those are parts that we really don't truly appreciate until they don't work right. I had a very very very dear friend of mine from work, have knew surgery last year. She struggled so with her knee, until the doc decided surgery was her only option. Within 2 weeks of her surgery, she was dead. Blood clot in her lung. It was devistating, losing a friend that was healthy and full of life. So, I guess my point is, take care of your knees.

National Nut Day.....I took it more from a psychiatric point of view.... I guess cuz it fits me?!
As for National Knee Day.....wish my knees were back to the way they were 25 years ago. Meaning I wish I still had cartilage. My being so heavy for so long has certainly taken it's toll on my joints. Now, having lost weight, there's no getting that cartilage back except by artificial means. My knees sound like a bowl of Rice Krispies.....snap, crackle, pop.....

but often we look so long at the closed door that
we do not see the one which has been opened for us.
