Two week update

Off the pain killers and able to get up and about and take care of myself.

For the first time in 18 years my scale reads under 300 lbs.  I've lost 33 so far.

Another new development.  After eating lots of things that I shouldn't be able to with absolutely no problems, I started to think I might be one of the lucky ones that won't get sick or dump.  I was wrong.  Today I dumped for the first time and it was from something that actually is on the list of approved foods.  Peanut butter.  I thought I was going to die - figuratively speaking of course.

Looking forward to getting out this weekend and spending some time outside the house.

That's it for now.

 or is not fun....

Hopefully as you go through your journey sweetie, you will not do that too often.  This part of your recover is trial and error.

I am just so proud of you.

CONGRATS on the dumping!  The reason I picked the RNY is just because it would punish me if I was bad. HAHA  Sounds like things are proceeding according to plan.  Just wait till ya hit 200!  WHAT A RUSH!   You're gonna feel like a freakin teenager!  Just be sure and don't act it!  I did and blew out my knee, broke my right foot and singed my head working on a rock crawler.  But ya know what ? Life is good and I'm livin it!   Hang in there, Bob

Greg,

I haven't been on the boards in FOREVER so I missed getting a chance to say good luck. Instead, how about a congratulations!!!!  33 pounds???    That's AWESOME!

As for the dumping, I'm sorry you went through it, but in the end, I think dumping is a good thing (and wish I still did it!) because it's a very real reminder and keeps you in check.

I'm so so so very happy and wish you the very best on this journey!

Hugs,

Becca
