I have colon cancer
Or a Cancerous Rectal Tumor…
Now, I don’t post very often. I tend to be one of “ Tinks Peekers, 
“ I love saying that 
, so I hope this doesn’t seem too selfish of me, posting when I’ve got trouble, but…There are a lot of caring folks on this board who I know will indulge me.
That said, I’m very fortunate to have a solid support system, from my immediate family and friends to my extended family, in-laws etc. Still, the more I talk about it, the better I seem to feel.
Back at the beginning of August I had a blood draw for my two year post op checkup with my DS Surgeon. About four hours later he called me from California, on a Saturday, and told me to get my ass to an Emergency Room ASAP. Turns out my hemoglobin level was a 4.75. A guy like me should have levels between 14 and 17. So six hours and two units of whole blood later I was sent home with a referral for an infusion center and a GI Doc.
It was funny, at every turn I was told that my anemia was “ Most probably caused by your WLS” which was always followed up by “Make sure you get a Colonoscopy just in case” Well, just in case ruled the day, and on Monday I was told I have Colon cancer. Another Doc has said because of where it’s at it can be considered a rectal tumor. The only difference twixt the two is the treatment regiment.
Anyway, all the crying was done on Monday, now it’s time to look this mother ****** in the eye and beat it down. I’ve never been more sure of anything in my life. It shouldn’t be too long now before I’m sharing my survivor story with everyone.

that someone would ask. I loved the fact that the cat never had your tounge, and if you were thinking it, you were just seconds away from saying it . Godspeed and rest well friend, your pains and troubles are behind you

I want you to know that I will be praying for you all the way over here in Hawaii and if you don't mind sharing your last name with me I will add you on to my church prayer list.
