Friday: Liven up the Board Post

GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD MORNING......yea, it is Friday and then we have the weekend.....wooooo hoooooo! 1) Have you ever been in a natural disaster? If so, tell us about it..... 2) When do kids go back to school in your area? Does it clog up traffic?

1) I used to live in MT and the weather there can be crazy at times.....I lived through windchills 100 degrees below zero a few times (included in that is a crazy windchill)....it was amazing...and one time I was in college and it took them two days of the horrible weather to finally cancel classes as the state of MT was going to sue the university.....thank GOODNESS....but then we got really bad cabin fever.....ugh.... 2) SOME kids start school here TODAY....some next week, then a chunk the week after....WOW.....and YES traffic stinks when it is back in session....ugh!!!!! Good morning mama 1 - Yes, Lucas and I were in Hurricane Charley in Orlando back in 2004. I thought that it was pretty fun and exciting. Lucas was very nervous. The part that made me the most made was that Disney closed MANY hours before the hurricane was due in. I can understand that after all the guests leave the park the employees still need to leave but it was not a good afternoon stuck in a hotel room for many hours. When the next morning came and the parks reopened there was some damage to homes around the area and some small damage to the parks but nothing major. We went home that day and the airport had some pretty good damage. Our flight was the first one out since the hurricane and we left about 4 hours late. Nothing was opened at the airport except for one fast food rest. (do not remember which one now). It was an interesting experience and I am glad to have seen a hurricane close up but yet out of harms way 2 - I only drive a mile to the train every day but sometimes I get slowed down by school buses. I will not complain, I would rather the kids get to school safe. Have a great weekend

Don't know when the kids return to school ...but when they do the road I work on is a nightmare so I adjust the times I leave work to try and avoid the issue.
