Sorry to jump in on your post Sparkster but I figured you or Rhondie would have the answers I need! Saturday I fell asleep on my tummy and when I woke up I had a huge mass like thing sticking out of me Its on the left side of my tummy ... right along the lower part of my weightloss surgery incision. I dont mean to sound yucky but when I have bowel movements I put my hand on it and it gets harder and larger ... its a little painful ... but I can deal with it. I go to see my surgeon on August 13th down in Delano but I was thinking that it could possibly be a hernia? Any ideas? I have already emailed my doctor and what not but wanted to see what you thought. xoxox

Ya woke up with it? Nothing at all before you went to bed? It kinda sounds like a hernia but the fact that appeared while you were sleeping makes me wonder. I do know the first time I popped my unbellicle hernia I was laying on my tummy in bed reading and coughed. Out the little **** came and it has been a pain ever since. When the protusion gets hard does it hurt? Does it go back in when ya push on it? Mine did. I would definetly get that looked at. Do ya have a binder to wear? They do help. I would also make sure ya take plenty of a stool softener so you don't bare down too much. If it strangulates get you tail end into the ER if it doesn't go back in ina reasonable amount of time. Sometimes the pain get so bad the muscles won't relaxe. If you're not in a lot of pain and can deal with it you will probably be ok. Just remember pain is our bodies way of talking to us. Let me know what ya find out! Hugs, Sparky
