A little late as I had to head to work early....but nonetheless..... 1) Do you have a tatoo? I know this has been controversial on here before so no judging....just curious..... 2) Have you noticed any vitamin deficiency issues after WLS? Are you actively taking your vitamins?????

1) Do you have a tatoo? I know this has been controversial on here before so no judging....just curious..... *** No. But I keep thinking about getting one. I just can't think of a picture I would want to look at every day for the rest of my life. And I would want it to be very meaningful to me. 2) Have you noticed any vitamin deficiency issues after WLS? Are you actively taking your vitamins????? *** I have iron issues... and I can tell when I need B12 because I have a problem sleeping at night due to my feet feeling weird. I suddenly can't tell if they are too hot or too cold and just CANNOT get comfy. But if I am good with my B12, that is not a problem. In general, I kinda suck at taking vitamins. I have them all... I just don't remember! I was soooo good at when I was at work and could lay them out and take them during the work day. Now... at home... I have never been able to figure out how to get a routine down for several times a day (for the iron especially).

1) I do....one on my left foot....it is of three hearts....me and two friends did them together....I love it but it is hard to make sure I have dressy sandals for work that cover it up...ugh.... 2) I have had iron issues and am very good at taking my vits, but to Maria's point it is all about a routine......I am going to have to figure that out more when I am on leave with my little gill......I have one now but have to be conscious soon.....

So it's Tuesday and I'm answering Monday's post.....I'm only off by one day! 1) Nope....no tattoo's for me. I thought about it at one time but decided against it. I'm so indecisive that I'd never be able to pick one out. And then I'm afraid that after a couple of years I wouldn't like it anymore and I'd be stuck with it. 2) There have been times that I've been lax with my vitamins....maybe missing them for a week or so, but for the most part I'm good about taking them. Especially after my last set of labs at 18 months. I'm low in B-12 and now have to get a shot every month plus I have to take vitamin D-3 twice a day. I would rather keep up with them now than to have major problems down the road to deal with.

Me again... 1) Do you have a tatoo? I know this has been controversial on here before so no judging....just curious..... I have six and would like two more. I'm a little OCD about some things and doing things in even numbers is one of them, thus the reason I want two more. lol One for sure I want is a T behind my ear in fancy writing. The other, I have no idea at the moment...maybe something that requires writing, like a saying or something. 2) Have you noticed any vitamin deficiency issues after WLS? Are you actively taking your vitamins????? Okay, I'll try to keep this short but this is what has happened to me for not taking my vits. In early April I went to the hospital with BAD chest pains, I thought it was something but certainly not something serious. Turns out I was SEVERELY anemic and had to have four pints of blood and was admitted to the hospital. For about two or three weeks after that I was vigilant about my vits, since then not so much. I tell myself every day that I have GOT to start taking them or I'm going to end up back in the same boat. I just had this convo with my bf last night and here I am today...forgot again. My plan is get another set of everything I need and bring them to work, so when I forget to take them at home I can just reach a drawer and get them here. Oh, and hindsight is 20/20. All the things I was experiencing; shortness of breath, chapped lips, restless leg syndrome, etc., was DIRECTLY related to that anemia, so on the positive side I know what the signs are now and am much more aware of my body and what's happening with/to it.
