I'm Sad
So my baby Soldier hurt his knee during basic training.. he did not get it looked at because as my Squid says.. you get hurt you get set back and then your living in hell that much longer.. so he went to AIT and it got a little better until his PT for Airborne.. it started hurting again.. On his first day at Airborne he slammed straight legged into the wall after coming down the grappling line and that was it.. Went to the doc and they said he has a torn ligament... he was dropped from Airborne today.. so now he's down at Ft Benning while they change his orders.. He is very sad.. but feels he did the right thing since his Army career is very important and Airborne was just a small part of it... He's hoping down the road he can try again..
His Sgt was being a total ass to him... which is ****** me off but Amir stuck to his guns and dropped. If he totally ruined his knee he could get a medical discharge and that is not what he wanted...
So now we are waiting to find out where they are putting him...
So please sent positive vibes his way...
Thank you guys
Debby

I am so sorry for your soldier...man though I am glad he was smart enough not to ruin his knee anymore.....and he has such the right spirit and attitude that he is going to go SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO far in life (as all of your boys are).....does he have any thoughts on where they may send him and when will he know?
Lots of prayers for all of your babies (including your lovely husband).....
I LOVE YOUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU Debs,
Annie and Baby Gill
We are not sure where he is going.. right now he's at Ft Benning waiting for his new orders.. There's a chance he could still end up at Bragg with his original unit.. if they take him they MIGHT send him back to Airborne in 6 months after the knee heals... OR they could send him anywhere in the world they want.. as long as it is an engineering unit... As soon as I know I'll post...
Love you too!!!
