Monday: Liven up the Board Post
1) I got the lovely privilege to drive a government brown HORNET when I first started driving but mostly drove a Blue Subaru....it was fun and got me and my friends around...even on the hatchback people rode.....I even lost the antena and ended up using a wire hanger
2) I have always been pretty warm blooded....it changed slightly with WLS but still don't get terribly cold...I know some people do....
1) What was your first car you drove...any funny memories? My mom is the original owner of a '75 Ford Courier....yes she still has it and drives it part time!! I drove it for a while when I was a new driver but then my dad played with the idea of getting another car just for me! YAY! Well, not so much....it was a '74 Ford Pinto. Way worse than the Mustard Yellow Courier. The deal was not set in stone....until.....the day my dad brought the Pinto for me to see, my sister was driving the truck and blew the engine. Needless to say, I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning up my "new" car. It was just ugly!! No one drove a Pinto...and it was ancient - a 12 year old car!
2) Before WLS, were you a cold blooded or hot blooded person...has this changed? If so, in what way?
HOT blooded!! Immediately after surgery, I started on blood thinners and I was always freezing!! Then, I lost a lot of hair and that made me more cold. (It has since grown back and I've got my thick hair again ) I think that now I'm average but tonight while I was making dinner for Tony's family I had the dishwasher running. I also had a fryer, all four stovetop burners and a CrockPot going. The kitchen was super hot! I was miserable!
Okay....I cannot think of what a courier is....but totally can picture a pinto....how cute....people drove them in my era..... We loved them.....do you know what a hornet is? That is wayyyyyyyyyyyy uglier.....
Nate is extremely hot blooded and sometimes it gets in the way of our cuddling But I still like a fan on me.....but cooking..yea, I get hot So, what were you making for dinner?
Well, a Hornet definitely sounds uglier!!
As for dinner.....well, if you have never had a good New Mexican dinner, you'll know what I'm talking about. The menu was as follows....tamales - both green chile w/chicken AND red chile w/pork...MMMMMM, pinto beans, spanish rice, red chile and green chile (for smothering) and homemade sopapillas which are fried and always a treat. A lot to choose from so I have to pick my poison. Unfortunately(or fortunately), I cannot eat some of everything post op and these type of foods are extremely filling! His whole family was over...we had a great time.
Again, I'm so happy you are pregnant! You are going to love being a mom and you are going to be so good at it! I'm just giddy!
