Our Men
I hope everyone will join me in a prayer for our boys that are active duty now and our Men that have served and those that have given the ultimate gift for our freedom. If you're a civilian you need to understand that for most of our fighting men this is the most significant thing they have ever done or will ever do. They have a deep sense of pride and would do it all over again for "us". They are the reason my grandchildren run and play free. They are the reason I enjoy my trips into the desert with my wife and relish the vast openness of this great nation. They are the reason we can all have such vast diferences of opinion and have the freedom to express those opinions without fear of death or retribution. They are the reason we are Free.
I served my country in a time of peace and never faced the ugliness of war and the damaging effects it carries with it. I have two beautiful boys that are serving now and I pray for them every night. Please keep Nasir and Amir in your prayers and know that they are proud and thankfull for the chance to defend your right to voice your opinion and speak what you feel is rightouse.
We are a blessed nation with young men that are willing to fight for our freedom. So please pray for them all and the next time you see a long haired, unshaven charactor hangin out on the roadside wearing an old military jacket with a sign asking for money, remember you have no idea what he went through and maybe a little compassion will change his life.
May God Bless this great nation and keep those that serve and have served safe.
Thanks everyone, Sparky
HAPPY MEMORIAL DAY and THANK YOU SPARKSTER for all you have done and continue to do for this country in your work!!! Your boys (and Deb's) are in my thoughts and prayers as well....
Well said above (although until I read your second posting I was wondering what you were thinking of the female types but I see it now )......being a Navy Wife I have totally realized more and more sacrifices people have made for our country and continue to do whether it is overseas or on our land. My dad is a Vet, so are two of my uncles and several friends besides my lovely husband. A true sacrifice for our country! We need to continue to be grateful to them EVERYDAY not just today......
Happy Memorial Day!!!!
Annie
Happy Memorial day to you too Darlin. I seriously worked and had working for me exceptional women.
Deb and I had a great weekend. We went out and bought an 1982 Honda 110 ATV for 20 bucks and turns out all it needs is a 40 Dollar set of rings. It's really a cute little scooter and Deb and I are tickled with it. Now we have something for 6 people to ride when we head out to the desert. Nasir is coming out next month and hopefully my oldest son Rob can come out too and we'll all take off into the desert.
Hope ya have a good Memorial Day sweetie. We miss ya a lot! Sparky
