OK - this is my issue. I have a large number of married, female cousins and friends who we are inviting to the wedding. In many cases, I have had little or no contact with the husbands. Teacher says the invitation should be addressed to: Mr. and Mrs. John Doe. I think that is crap. Why would I want to send something to some jack'ss I don't even know and leave off the person I do care about?

Hey You..... Great point....I had some of the same issues, but teacher is right....that is what Emily Post says....ugh....but it is the right thing to do and you are not leaving them out because you are referencing them as a MRS and we like that When is the big day again???? How exciting....btw, I WROTE ALL of our invites....glad you are involved.....Nate would have been but was kind of difficult with our distance plus I have better handwriting LOL

the same reason if you and teacher where *living together* you would want the close cousin to include your SO on their invitation (if they were getting married) altho they may not know her. It's basically respecting the cousin that you care so much about. Since they love their husband.. you are including them. Just my thought..
