Unemployed

Well after 22 years of employment I am unemployed. My company was bought out in February and the new owners believe that managers can only effectively manage with 7 sales agents in each office, so they went through the sales for each agent in the company and if there were 8 or more agents they laid off the one with the lowest amount of profit from last year. I had an awful 2007, so I was the one to go. I am still in shock, but my faith in God is carrying me right now. I know he has a plan for me. I was planning on leaving in June 2009 to go and live with Doug, but I am beginning to believe that I was meant to be with him sooner. He needs more help with his mom and even though I need a job I will be around to help him with her. My best friend's cousin works for AAA in their human resources department and she has an opening not far from Doug's house, so I applied for that job. Please say a prayer or send good thoughts that I find something quick, I can not afford to live on the $330.00/week that my wonderful states pays for unemployment. Hope everyone is doing well. Deanna

Ya know when Deb got fired from CLearwire because they thought she was too old to relate to the children they had working for them she was devistated. Now she is right where she wants to be and is happier than ever and I actually get to spend the evening with my wife! Life is better. It will be for you too. I just know it! You'll still be in my prayers. I've learned in my "old age" the guy upstairs can do some remarkable things if I just remember to get the heck out of his way. and sometimes he has to literally shove me in the direction he wants me to go. Hang in there hun, Hugs, Sparky

Hey Sweetness..... I am sorry to hear about your news.....but like others said, I have heard too many stories that good things come out of this stuff....but it is all about the openness that God has something else planned and that the patience and good attitude.....today's economy has impacted a lot of people I know and I think most people lately are very nervous about their fate in the work field....even severance packages are getting worse these days....ugh! You are DEFINITELY going to be in my prayers and heart for the right direction.....you are a very strong woman and I will pray for the right next step....keep us posted and hang in therre lovely!!!! Huggers and Many thoughts and Kisses, Annie

Thanks Annie, I appreciate the prayers. I know God has a plan for me, it is funny how I had the same plan but not for another 14 months. Everything in my life is pointing for me moving down to be with Doug, so that is where my focus has been. I have applied to AAA and Boscovs in their travel departments and I am hoping something will come through soon. I have heard from both so now I am just waiting on setting up an interview with them. The economy does suck right now and it is hard to get people to let go of their money to travel, but hopefully I will find something. Doug has been my rock though and I love him more and more every day. I am glad he is there for me when i need him the most. I will keep you informed on what is happening
