In order to get my GB out, they had to deflate my band and decided to leave it that way until the swelling went down. Holy crap, I haven't been free eating since 2005. I will not pig out. I will not pig out. I will not pig out. Since I am unable to work out, there is no chance at working out to get rid of any excess calories. Now, teacher is taking me to a freaking birthday party!!! I will not pig out. I will not pig out.

First week in August. It is coming at us like a freight train. Teacher is taking two classes for her masters, working full time, and planning a wedding with little help from others. At this point, I am focusing on 9 days in Maui. Nine days in Maui. Actually, things are great. Just very busy until she finishes classes in May (teaching in June).

I hope it works out with the band.. or rather not the band. Good luck question.. just cuz I don't know.. is the band for life does a bander get to have it to work with always.. ? when they reach goal does it stay in but just deflated incase they start gaining.. ? just curious... thanks

I believe you can get it removed whenever, which is the draw to it for many I personally think. sorry to dip into your convo. i just had a strong desire to talk to you apparently.

i would never want mine remove.. cuz I would end up in the same boat as before.. but I guess we are suppose to learning our triggers and working on the inner child of us that causes our *eating* addiction. Like our new pouch it is just a tool.. not a cure all. Thanks.. and feel free to dip anytime for some reason.. *my* eating addiction is a worse animal than *my* drinking addiction.. but it does make me understand how difficult it *can* be for others.

Although they can remove it in extraordinary cir****tances, they normally keep it in. Once you reach goal weight, the challenge is to find the right setting to maintain weight. Under normal cir****tances, I cannot eat much in the way of meat, any hard breads, or certain veggies. If I eat them or eat quickly, I get the pukes. With it totally wide open, I can eat anything without restriction - which is really weird. I am going in for a surgery follow up and the first refill (you have to work back up to the old level). Sorry for not responding more.

that's okay.. you are busy.. and I think I was just feeling needy that day sorry hope you do well. It sounds like how my pouch reacts when I eat what I should like dry chicken.. dry roast.. etc.. lol.. the pukies..
