I did it!!!!
I am not a Motorcycle mechanic by any stretch of the imagination. Deb and my bikes sat in a garage for about a year and a half without being started. I got them home, changed the oil stuck some new plugs in em and got them started. They wouldn't run unless you had the choke full on though so that told me the jets were clogged. I tried a couple diferent fuel additives and it helped a little but still not right. I called the suzuki shop and they wanted a whopping 300 bucks PER BIKE to pull the carbs and clean them up. I really didn't want to take the chance with two practically new bikes (neither has more than 1200 miles on it) and screw them up but 600 bucks is a hunk of change to say the least. Well Deb's was the worst and I started on it Friday afternoon. I had it tore down and the carbs apart and soaking in chem dip by that night. I walked out there yesterday moring and looked at all thos parts and thought holy crap what have I done! Well It took me about 4 hours to get it back together but she fired right up and runs like a champ! You could hear me hollerin for miles around! I had to take it for a spin (even with no license) just cause it was the right thing to do! I fugured if a cop pulled me over I'd just look him/Her in the eye and say go ahead give me a ticket cause it was well worth it and I'd do it again! Anyway I just wanted to share my moment with everyone. This morning I start on my 1400. They are pretty much the same bikes so I am hoping this one will go easier. Then again sure as I say that..........well we won't go there \
Happt Easter Everyone!!!!!!! Hugs and sloppy Sparky
