Steelers fans!
Now i'm sure you have probably all heard by now that Pittsburgh Steeler broadcaster, Myron Cope has passed away. I lived in the Pittsburgh area for about 2 years in the mid-80's and that's when i was intorduced to Cope's style. I'll also be the first to admit that when i first heard him, he annoyed the heck out of me and made my skin crawl. but as the time went on, he grows on you. He was a true hometown 'homer' to the Steelers, and rightly so. That was his team. I even recorded a part of a Steelers-Bengals game from the radio while i was out there, i believe it was WTAE. During that broadcast, Cope called them "The Cincy Bungals". he even laughed at his own comments, which i thought was a riot. I believe he also did some sports segments on the tv news too, and i'll never forget his closing line........."This is Myron Cope.....on sports." Oh, and when you see Steelers fans in Heinz field or even old video from Three Rivers Stadium, and they are waving those yellow 'Terrible Towls'.......think of Myron, he was the one that invented them. R.I.P. Myron!

I was listening to the Dallas sports talk radio station on the internet. They played some of his clips, which were hysterical. One, in particular, involved a story about an enema for no apparent reason. I died laughing. He was old school in a way that we will never see again - our loss.
Go Steelers.
