Need advice
Okay ya'll this weekend Martin and I have set aside to be our "romantic" weekend. We're combining my birthday and Valentine's day together. We've done that the past couple of years.
I think being married has shut down all my "romantic" creative juices so I am trying to think of something very romantic but very cheap to do for him.
Any ideas???
1st year we did this I had heart shaped post-it notes leading all the way from the driveway into the house and into his bedroom that had little notes and poems on it. Then in his bedroom I had a pair of silk pajamas and robe I had bought him and had him take a long hot bath...etc...you get the idea.
Last year I took 10 balloons (red, pink and white) laying on the bed with a poem telling him to count backwards to read the TOP 10 reasons I love him. Each balloon had a number from 10-1 and had a piece of paper in each one with one of the reasons, so he had to stand and bust every balloon to get to 'um. I fixed dinner and we had champagne and strawberries in front of the fireplace. Very romantic...yes insert here.
Yes, I am a SAP I know...but he never does anything special for HIM...so I try to do as much as I can to show him how special he is to ME everyday not just around Valentine's day...but I try to put a little extra mmph! on it at this time of the year.
So, any ideas???? C'mon I KNOW you have some and I am all ears...or in this case eyes
Hold on.... (gurgle)..... be right back....

Sorry.... just had to throw up one or four times.
You've already done my best stuff (and I think I got the ideas from YOU).
I told my hubby I think I have lost my romantic creativity too.
Massage? Aromatherapy?
Dinner in bed?
Let me know what you end up doing so I can steal the idea.

Heh.
I'm trying to get UK Basketball tickets (Senior Night) for Valentine's Day.
For my guy, that is romance. That
1.I'll go with him to see a basketball game
2.It's UK Senior Night!!
3.We get a hotel room the night before next to the arena
4.He didn't ask for the tickets; I knew he'd want them if I could get them
But..romance is different for everyone, right? I thought it was romantic and sweet when he'd come scrape my car clean after he worked 12 hours overnight without asking. AND he showed up with Starbucks for me to get my day started.
Let us know what you go with though!!!!

Well I bought him a pair of Reeboks Saturday and told him Happy Valentine's day when I gave them to him. He NEVER owned a pair of Reeboks in his life. He always only bought his tennis shoes at Wal-Mart.
He is on his feet nearly the WHOLE time he is at work now so I got him a GOOD pair of shoes that would have some serious arch support and comfortable soles. Like I said, he NEVER does anything for himself...so I do it for him He is always doing for me, sacrificing for me...it's just little things I try to do to let him know how much I love and appreciate what he does!
He's all like "I don't need that" or "we don't need to spend the money" or something and I just ignore him and go on and do it anyway and then when I do something like new clothes or shoes or something he is like a KID literally He'll try his clothes on and model 'um...it's so adorable.
Anyway....thanks for the input! Hope you can get tickets!!
