Here's a prayer that was heard and answered

Awhile back, I asked for prayer for my Executive Director and his wife; Jon and Lonnie. He is the one who went in for tests on 12-21 and found out he had a liver being flown to him at that very minute. It's been a very difficult go for him. The transplant went WONDERFULLY. He of course was in ICU. Doing well and then boom; lung problems. To this day, he is in ICU, but almost released to a regular room. Jon is a man in his mid to late 60's and was extremely fortunate to get the donor liver. A few days after transplant, he was put on a respirator. It was sooooo touch and go for so many days. Well, Monday we got an update from his wife. He is off the respirator and only has oxygen through the little nose clippy thing. They're going to move him (probably already have) to his own room. They said he has to eat and walk, but when he does that without any complications, he's coming home! So this is a two fold post. 1. To thank everyone who sent prayers and good thoughts out for his family. He is a very dedicaated servant to his Savior and in doing so is the second best man I've ever met. (My daddy was the best ) 2. If you ever doubt the power of prayer, discussions with your "higher power" or just asking friends (even our internet friends), please don't doubt. I'm a firm believer in the "say it and claim it" part of my faith as well as "if two shall stand in agreement of faith, then so shall it be". You were a great part of asking for God's help in having this man be a survivor. Jon and his family had over 100,000 prayer warriors nationwide and even some overseas where he previously worked in France. So, even if you don't believe in a Christian faith, we all have someone or something who we go to in times of need. Here I am thanking you, all of you, for your place in my life and how your place affects others in my life. Y'all are good people! Bless yer hearts! Liz

I have shown great restsraint this week and have not even attempted to start up Pinkaboo (that's her name ). I am waiting until tomorrow night or Saturday to devote my entire attention to her needs. She looks so pretty sitting on the dryer with her cousin the new printer. When I get Pinkaboo set up, I'll let her even start playing with her babydoll, Pinkette. That's really her matching mouse. Ok, so what of it people????????? I didn't birth no babies so my new pink satin finish lap top and my cat, Sophie, are my babies. Dayum...I really do need a life. That is wonderful Liz.. and thanks for being so inspirational this morning (or last nite). I know HE and I had a little talk already this morning but I'll slip another request that he continue to uplift your friend (Jon). I am one that believes all prayers are answered.. sometimes not the answer WE want, but answered according to what is meant to be as they say in AA.. GOD has a plan for ME.. and thank GOD I don't know what that plan is.. cuz if I did.. I would F it up

That is wonderful news!!!! I will let my prayer warriors at church know about him. We have been keeping him and his family in our prayer circle. And will continue to do so.

You are so right Liz. My Mom was diagnosed with lung cancer 5 years ago. She is a survivor. I believe in the power of prayer. She is doing great... I posted some new pics on my profile... we just got back from a cruise together in December. I am so happy to hear the good news. Hugs Julie
