This weekend is not going too good...

Okay to start with I had a really bad headache when I woke, which isn't new I have been getting them for about two and half weeks now. Plus my right knee hurt...it hurts last night too but I attributed it to the pregnancy and swollen feet thing. Well I went to work and my leg started hurting more, the thigh and knee, then I noticed that my right leg felt colder than the rest of me. So I called my doctors exchange...she called me and said I should go to the emergency room. So I left work early...which means a little less in the pay check this week but it can't be helped. And I went to the ER and an hour or so later...my wait was not as long as some due to what might be wrong [doc thought possibly blood clots] and the pregnancy...they told me they can't do the doppler ultrasound on weekends in the ER...and this is the test they need to do to find out if I have blood clots so they put me on a blood thinner and told me to come back to the hospital on Monday for the test. They assured me several times that the blood thinner won't hurt Felicity...and I am trying to push those fears to the back of my mind because the pain I am having in my leg is enough to deal with. So if you could please keep Felicity and I in your thoughts and prayers I would appreciate it...I am praying it is a pinched nerve or something like that.

Oh wow....sorry to hear about that Lisa.....you and Felicity are definitely in my prayers....continue to monitor it and let us know how it goes on Monday....argggh on having to wait.....did they not think it was an emergency to check you out since you were pregnant??? I don't get that part.....very frustrating!!!

I was really shocked that they couldn't do the test on weekends...maybe I should have gone to an ER at larger hospital...I mean if my doc had meant for me to end up on blood thinners till they could do a test on Monday she could have called a prescription in and saved me the ER bill!

no kidding...ask your doc to pick up the bill
