Passed

So most of you know about the issues we've had with the middle son... the drugs, gang activity dropping out of school... He came back in Sept. we told him he was welcome as long as he lived up to his word and going forward getting his life together. He enrolled in GED classes and started working with an Army recruiter.. well he took the ASVAB and scored very well.... Army submitted the waiver for his drug possession charge and all we were waiting on was the GED... Well he PASSED!!!! And he passed with a very good score!!! We are all very excited here at our house that this kid who at one time was giving up on himself has worked so hard to change his life and make it better. So in a couple of weeks this young man who felt he had no future will be leaving to begin his life as a member of the US Army. Thank you all for the good thoughts, the prayers and positive energy.. I think anyone who feels they have messed up their lives can learn something from him.. its never to late to turn it around!! Debby a proud mother of a Sailor and Soldier..

Hey Debbers.... THAT IS AWESOME....HOW GREAT IS THAT!!!! But with parents like you and Bob and your enormous energy, hearts and optimism, your kids should be very proud to have that kind of support....I KNOW you both had a lot to do with his change and I am so very happy for you..... BUT, two boys in the military now? WOW.....what is your third doing again? Love ya sister, Annie

My third will never be military.. he's very anti-gov, anti-military etc... LOL but he has a heart of gold... He's working for an Xray company doing deliveries, assisting in xray room installs etc.. Nasir is scheduled for deployment again Nov 1st (ish) and I could possibly have two boys in Iraq... There is NOT ENOUGH XANAX in the world to get me through it!!! I am so very proud of all of them.... I was totally sure I screwed them all up LOL Love you too sister

Right now??? probably in the bathroom??? He is in VA BCH, he has an apartment off base though, which I think is silly since he can live on base for free.. but he says after his deployment he needed time where he didnt feel like Navy property I guess I can understand that!!!

I can understand his time away....doesnt he get bha? see...you need to come SE...see Nasir, mom and dad and Annie....papa sparkles would understand....that is if the cowboys win.....ugh....31 seconds left......i hope they pull it out!

he's put his chit in for bha, just waiting for approval... he tests for his E5 in a few weeks.. and he's applying for BUDS he's doing very well in the Navy..

I am very happy and proud of him! I will have to agree with you that there could not be enough of anything to get you (or any other mother) through two of them deployed at the same time! Hugz to you and Sparky for doing the awesome job with him (and all of the children)!! Nancy

How are you? I thought of you today. I went to the gym and weighed in. I had gained about 10 pounds since I met Dan a year ago. I got on the scale today and I have lost 3 this week! I am so excited! Anyways, wedding plans are all coming along great. Kind of at a stand still for a while, nothing to do. I have my dress, the chapel and THINK I know where the dinner is afterwards. I probably need to start thinking about the party we are having here sometime soon. We are not doing the party until September (I think). I hope you are still the flower girl, I was planning on it. I will let you pick out your own dress and everything. June 20th will be here way to fast in so many ways and is so far away in many others. Have a good week
