Our primary is not even considered important due to the fact that we moved up the date....the democratic party was not happy about that and apparently this influenced many of the democratic canidates WHO ARE NOT EVEN ON THE BALLOT!!!
So IF you vote in the primary and you wanted to vote for Hillary, Obama, Edwards DO NOT write in their names as all write in's are not counted... I know WTF!
The best you can do is vote undecided... again I say WTF!
That's why candiates from the Democratic party aren't coming to MI to campaign.
We are not happy campers in this household.
I'm with you, Mel. This is what one of the instructor's at the college I work at sent out, hopefully some from MI will find it helpful (oh, and some of it might be specific to my area, so read carefully).

"A look at confusing Democratic ballot
Michigan voters getting absentee ballots for the state's Jan. 15 presidential primary have four Democratic choices -- Hillary Clinton, Dennis Kucinich, Mike Gravel and Chris Dodd (who dropped out of the race last week).
That's because Barack Obama and John Edwards, and Bill Richardson and Joe Biden (both of whom also have dropped out), removed their names from the ballot. So, what should their supporters do? Don't write in a candidate's name. Your ballot will be thrown out. Officials say they've seen a lot of spoiled ballots. If you've spoiled your ballot, call your city clerk and ask to revote.
State Democratic Party officials recommend a vote for "uncommitted." If at least 15% of voters do that in a district, they'll be represented.
Or vote Republican.
