Well, I drank protein shakes, ate protein bars for about 6 months and gave up on them..... WELL, I decided to try them again. I went to the store yesterday and bought a BIG OLE thing of protein powder.....Here are the 2 shakes I have had so far....and they weren't tooo bad! - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Banana Chocolate Shake 1 cup milk 1 scoop chocolate protein powder 1/2 banana ice Mix in blender.....drink Calories - 273 Fat - 7 Carbs - 29 Sugars - 19.5 Protein - 31 Now I used 2% milk, so skim would even do ya better.... Next.... - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Peppermint Mocha Shake 1 cup of cold coffee 2 TBL peppermint Mocha creamer 1 scoop of Choc protein powder 2 drops of peppermint extract 1 squeeze of Choc syrup ice Mix in blender...............drink I didn't calculate the nutritional value on this one.....I guess if enough of you whine about it, I'll do it for ya.

"1 squeeze of Choc syrup" This works well for me... cause I can probably squeeze the entire bottle into the drink... and hey, it's still just a "squeeze"!

I don't do all that stuff. I get my GNC chocolate 100% whey protein. I use 1 1/2 scoops, 1 [same scoop] nondairy creamer. I shake it in a shaker glass with about 10 to 12 ounces of cold water. It tastes like a glass of Quik. If I want different, I get the Vanilla, add a scoop of hazelnut [or other of the million flavors they have] nondairy creamer and voila - a shake that tastes like dessert. Since it is instantized, I don't need a blender. I try not to add extra calories by throwing stuff like milk [extra sugars and 140 calories] and fruit. Also I use a scoop and a half so that the shakes are at least 35 grams. I want the protein grams, which are important. The only time I will add fruits or things is if I am making a meal replacement out of the shake. I actually enjoy my shakes, can you believe that????

Sheeeesh.... You behave so well. I have to make my drinks 'fruify' or I dont like em'. Maybe I will try them your way tomorrow.... cause the milk made me sick today.... I AM lactose intolerant.... but I seem to think I can drink it anyway.... LOL... Guess I will never learn!! However, I did do my shake today as a meal replacement. Skipped lunch. I think that is awesome that you enjoy them. Makes it a bit easier. You see by the title of this ...just how much I enjoy them...LOL

If you can find it...Nectar is awsome...I have had fuzzy navel and lemonade flavor... Tastes like country time lemonade. Mixes with water well...so no added cals or carbs from the milk. I get mine @ www.supplementcentral.com. This place is literally 100 yards from were I work and they have the best prices around. Kinda like a costco, big warehouse w/ everything in it, but 90% of their business is inet. Their prices beat anything I have found. All you need is water and a spoon. No blender necc.

Hahahahahhaha Love the pic!!! I did the nectars when I was first post-op.....I just got so burnt out on all of them....and I vowed at that point that I was going to have a normal life....I didn't want to drink protein drinks my whole life..... But now that you bring it up, I do recall them being kinda good. Maybe I will give em a try again. Thanks! ^5

you don't WANT to drink protein for life, but you NEED to. Your guts did not go back the way God made them and you will malabsorb for LIFE. protein helps us in so many ways. Also, you might like the muscle milk protein pudding. It is lactose free and it is also like dessert
