Immune System

Did anyone else feel like there immune system was crap after WLS? I feel like I get every bug or virus that is out there!! I feel like I have the immune system of a child!! Just wondering if anyone else had this and when does it go away!!

nope.. I just got the vodkieitis and it went away about a year ago other than that.. no problems.. just tired which could be the food I eat at times or lack of sleep.. or BOTH.

Its me I guess. I take all my vitamins and protein maybe its my clients that come in sick

Absolutely..... I am sick right now.....Its either a cold or the flu....I haven't researched yet to check the symptoms to see which one..... But it was sooooooo bad over the past few days that I have been in bed. Before WLS, I NEVER got sick.....It was convenient cause I am a mother of 5, and it is hard for me to be sick.....but now.....I get sick about 4-5 times a year..... (not counting the sick after eating, that comes daily...LOL) Hope you feel better.... Jen

Glad to finally hear someone else say yes!! It sucks that you are sick but i was beginning to feel all alone

nope. just had everything nearly burst on me. (appendix, gall bladder, uterus.....)

Well thats not good!! I already have my gall bladder gone but damn I guess my appendix and uterus can too

Have you talked to your doctor about this? It is possible that what ever problems you are having are not WLS related at all. I had problems after WLS that actually were emerging symptoms to other conditions but got ascribed to being post-opp.
