My official first 40 yr old "things I've learned" post
I have learned to love me, thin or fat, because I have a heart the size of Texas.
I have learned that I MUST color my hair every 3 weeks because the gray starts to shine like the Bride of Frankenstein.
I have learned that people really do come into your life for a reason; good or bad.
I have learned in the end, you only have yourself to rely upon, so be good to you.
I have learned, finally, when being sweet gets you what you want and when being loud and obnoxious works better. (situation and if it's towards someone who has to be accountable for their actions and complaints)
I've learned if you go out on a date and do not shave your legs, you WILL have the opportunity to have great sex. (Sometimes, it's a great excuse)
And finally, I've learned that if I do have to shave my legs, they usually aren't someone I want to be around long term anyway.
In other words, I'm finally 40 and care about myself and others, but not what others say or think about me.
Back to your scheduled programming...
