All Grown Up

I was really sad last night. I was talking to my son and asking him what his plans are for trick or treating tonight. He told me which friends he wants to go with. I called ones dad and we were talking about their plan of attack. I said is your wife going with them or shall I plan on going. Lucas screams in the background SHE can go with us but there is no way MY MOM is going trick or treating with me! When did they grow up

Dont be sad., Kids are like that!! he does not want you to exist when his friends are around. this means that you and dan have some time alone. break in the backyard!!

You make it sound like we have not broke in the backyard yet . . . seriously though, the one night that every child is walking the neighborhood is really not the time to break it in silly girl!!! Dan is in a parade back in his old neighborhood and so I will not even see him tonight After spending 24/7 with him for the last week that will be strange to me. I will survive though.

When I *grew up* it was usually when I was up to no good.. and didn't want her around. AND THEN.. I really grew up just recently *past few months* and learned the real value of my mom.. and what a **** I was for not calling her more often.. just to see how her day is and to say I love you. Reminds me I WANT to call my mom today..

Rhonda - That is a very grown up statement and one that you should be proud of! I am just happy that I had that same discovery before my mom died or it would have been to late. I was not a good child growing up and gave her all kinds of headaches but then I grew up and she knew that all her hard work worked. Call you mom, give her a hug for me too, I wish I could hug mine!

BTW, how is the squid visit going? Tell him hi and we are so proud of him...I am going to see my hubby squid tomorrow....we are counting down the hours....this time it has been 4 weeks and it sucks...dangit!

Don't worry Nancy, having two grown sons I can share that Lucas is exhibiting a normal behavior and two there will be times when you don't want him around. Ron

Awww, I am all alone tonight too and no one has rung my bell which is cool since i am sitting here in bed in jammies nice comments on your mama too....you are just awesome and i cannot wait to meet you one day soon my dearest!
