D's endoscopy was a success today and he is none the worse for wear. His doc said he is definitely suffering from acid reflux which is being worsened by a hiatial hernia that he has had since birth. His doc also saw a small erosion but said with the medication, a generic form of prilosec, should cure that completely in a coupe of months. For now his doc put him on meds for the reflux and will check a biopsy just to be sure there are no food allergies. The hernia may need to be addressed at some point when he is much older but no surgery is needed now. Thank you all for once again sending positive vibes and prayers to someone in need. Glad all is well.. and can be cured with proper medication. what a relief.. appears many of this weeks *downers/fears* are being resolved on a pretty good note thank goodness.

Good news indeed. Acid reflux is a co-morbidity that many of us have experienced. I am sure your family is relieved to have the procedure accomplished and all the really ugly outcomes ruled out. Ron & Cathy
