Need some good vibes from boardie pals
Hi,
As I posted this morning, D was home again today with stomach pain. His Dad said his pain has been on and off all week and progressively getting worse. I called the gastro doc today and we haved moved his scope up to tomorrow at 12:10 PM. The hospital also indicated that if necessary, they may be also doing a biopsy as well.
Please keep D in your thoughts tomorrow that they find what is hurting our sweetie and that it is nothing serious.
Thanks everyone,
Mel & Jay
Hi Mel....
Did you see my post to Lizzie.....?
Is D's pain worse when he eats? About a year ago, my daughter had major pain in her stomach constantly, but got worse when she ate....I took her to the doctor and they misdiagnosed her and sent her home telling her to take Advil. Anyway, about a week later, I took her to the Emergency room, and after some testing, they diagnosed her with Pancreatitis, and a bad Gall Bladder. Since she went so long without treatment (thanks to the 1st doctor), she was literally on her death bed. She was admitted into the hospital, with a 1 week stay. They couldn't even remove her gall bladder until they got the Pancreatitis under control. They did surgery to remove the gall bladder after 6 days, and she went home the next day. But with Pancreatitis, food is like poison. It worsens the symptoms....
Here is an overview of the disease...

I hope he doesn't have that, but it might be worth mentioning, since it worsens with time.
Big Hugs, and prayers for D.

Hope all goes well for Dakota tomorrow. Stomach issues have been long time bed fellows of mine all my life. First diagnosed with ulcers when I was 8 years old. These days they usually put you under when performing the EGD. Typically the gastro will provide quick feedback regarding what they observed during the scope.
