Hideeeee Hoooooooo
Hello all,
Sorry it's been awhile since I have been on but things have been crazy (what's new right?? )
Mom has been in the hospital since the end of May (the week we returned from our honeymoon to be exact). We almost lost her twice, she has double pneumonia, Arterior fribulation, a severe kidney and UTI infection. She is now in rehab at Maryville Healthcare and she is probably going to stay there on a permanent basis as she is just not able to go home and take care of herself, this makes it much better for me because she is just down the road so I am able to see her everyday and I know she is taken care of but I hate the thought of her being in a nursing home
Martin and I are doing wonderful, God truly blessed me when Martin came into my life. I am still looking for a job, there is just nothing here so if you could keep a prayer in your heart for me to find something SOON it would be appreciated!! Congratulations to Annie, Lizzie and Jay and Mel on their weddings!! I wish we could have been there but know you were in our thoughts and I hope that your weddings were/is beautiful!!! IF I missed anyone please forgive!!
Well thats a quick update for now, not sure when I will be on again but we love you all and miss you TERRIBLY!!

Hi Wanette...
Good to see you.....Congrats to you and Martin.... You 2 are adorable.
I am very sorry to hear about your Mom. Nursing homes can be good.....My suggestion is to make surprise visits often and at odd hours. So they know that you can come at any time. Also, be very verbal about your expectations of them, let them know how often you want her bathed, out for a walk, or whatever else.... Caregivers tend to act better when they know the family is 'watching' them.
Prayers and best wishes,
Jen
