Should be studying
But I have been for 3 hours and I am going crazy reading case study after case study for my exam next week. Anyone just wondering if other people get this comment and if so what do you say. Yesterday the nurse at the emergency room ( i was having some intense pain so I went to ER where they basically told me it was in my head) anyway, she asked how much I weighed I told her 265. She says really you dont look like you weigh that much, you carry it well!! I really did not know what to say to that comment. I was like Thanks. Does this happen to anyone else?? My mom agreed with the nurse
People that are close to me might make a comment like that. I am not that touchy nor have I ever been about my weight. That being stated, folks in the medical field are exposed to personal matters all the time and in the situation you describe the nurse probably meant her statement to be a compliment. I wonder, was the nurse a larger person or smaller person? I only ask because there does seem to be a difference in how folks that share our challenges comment on our weight. Larger folks have a shared experience and are often hesitant to reference the weight topic.
