My Confession
Yesterday, I got called on the carpet by a coworker/friend after the following words came out of my mouth:
"If not for the stupid wedding...."
I deserved it. Despite my loathing for Vegas, I am beginning to see the value in a Vegas wedding.
Teacher is great. It is "others" who keep telling me I have to:
1. Have it there;
2. Invite more people;
3. Spend money this way instead of that way;
and so on.
Luckily, she wants me and not much else. Basically, we decided to invest our budget in the ring and the honeymoon. Simple wedding with a maximum of 30 peopld.
The current plan is to have the wedding next summer during her break. Our first choice church is the chapel. Unfortunately, it is being renovated and we won't know for a few weeks if it will be completed in time for our deadline. (fingers crossed) The reception will be a dinner at a local restaurant.
The main discussions have been over who and how many people get invited. We believe less is more and family is pushing back.
That is sweet "Luckily she wants me and not much else"....I love that
I had always wanted and dreamed of a big wedding in a church so even though I was 38 I still did it....so, really it is no one else's decision but you and teachers Either way you will **** people off.....so in the long run it is what makes you two happy....
My brother and sister in law did Vegas and we went to dinner at Beni Hana afterwards...it was awesome and so them....so whatever works....and makes YOU AND HER happy......
It is hard to limit....I was still inviting people two weeks before and still know I missed people.....ugh.....
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO, why did you ignore my question on pictures
So, three board weddings coming up:
- You and Teacher
- Kat and Budda
- Tony and Mar
Did I miss anyone???
